If I had to pick a game that summed up the Wild's season, I'd point to this game against the Sharks, game 81. Win and the Wild clinch a playoff spot, nothing else to it. If they lose, Colorado also had to lose if the Wild wanted to clinch, otherwise the race for the 2nd Wild Card spot in the Western Conference would continue. A 3-0 loss with a lackluster effort gave Colorado the chance to keep in the hunt, however they've been skidding harder than the Wild have so on the night where Minnesota could've clinched on their own terms but didn't, on a night where they got booed off the ice, the Wild clinched a spot because of Colorado's lack of success. Honestly, the team needs to send them a thank you card for helping out so much.
My spring with the Wild has been extended which is nice, I'll get to experience shooting playoff hockey. Schedule should be coming out soon, so I'll get to find out when game's 3 and 4 are here against the Dallas Stars. Baseball season for me starts tomorrow, I'll be at the Twins' home opener which is going to be a frigid affair with a high of 39*F. See you then!
