I apologize for consolidating both games into one post, but after I shot the Nashville game I went home, packed, and then took off for California the next day and then returned to Minnesota to shoot the Winnipeg game. To be honest, I thought both games were pretty boring to shoot. What really makes games great for me is when it's end to end action but the Wild pretty much dominated possession in both games it seemed like so for two periods all of the action was in the other end of the ice. Other than that, pretty standard game for me, just sat in my corner and took some photos. Chatted with some of the fans that were next to me too, one of the complaints I heard when I shot my first game was that the fans were awful, etc. I've had nothing but good experiences and think everyone I've talked to is really friendly so it's great to talk and laugh when there's a whistle and a break in play.
One cool story I'll share from the Nashville game was after I went through the security checkpoint and picked up my credential, I hopped in an elevator with these three guys that were dressed to the nines. Looked up and there's Shea Weber, Barret Jackman, and Filip Forsberg. Shea Weber is listed at 6' 4" but he seems so much taller and is an imposing man. He just towers over you, I wanted to get a picture with them but they looked like they didn't want to be bothered so I just left it. Still cool to experience.
Photos from the Jets/Wild game
That's all from me. Won't be at another Wild game until the beginning of December but I requested a Gopher Basketball game so if I get that then I'll toss up a post. Until next time.
