Despite the sweltering heat and humidity, August is one of my favorite months because it means that with Summer winding down, Fall is just around the corner. August also means that football is starting up with the NFL and NCAA so I was able to get my preseason underway with the Jacksonville Jaguars coming into town to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
There's nothing like shooting in a football stadium and even though it's a preseason game it was still a sold out crowd on Saturday. One of my favorite things about shooting sports in general is being able to feel the crowd's energy, whether it's a 3rd down or a goal scored at a hockey game. While the starters only got about 13 mins of playing time, I was still able to make some decent images although it was kind of a slow day, but it was also a pretty low pressure game compared to the regular season. Pretty laid back all around.

Also finally got to see Kirk Cousins, Minnesota's biggest free agent acquisition in the offseason, play quarterback at home for the first time. He uh, didn't have a great day but to be fair it was not a great day for the offense in general.

Up next will be Gopher football and then the NHL preseason starts in about a month! Time is flying by this year!
