Better late than never to get a new post up! On Sept. 24th I went to US Bank Stadium to cover the Vikings game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Last time I was here I was covering the X Games, this time I was here covering what the stadium was intended for! My day started at 9 am, driving down to Target Field where the Minnesota Twins play so I could park and take the light rail to the stadium.
This game and this Sunday were pretty unique because of President Trump's comments towards NFL players, calling the ones who are kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality "sons of bitches." And it was unique because there were owners and general managers standing with teams and their arms interlocked in unity. Some players also decided to kneel as a group.
So not much to say about this game, it's always interesting shooting at US Bank because it's fully enclosed but unlike a dome, it still allows in natural light. It was mostly sunny the whole day with some light clouds popping in and out so I didn't have to adjust my settings too much.
October is my favorite month because football season is in full swing, the NHL regular season starts (I'll be at the Wild's home opener on the 14th against Columbus), and it's playoffs for the MLB. Go Cubs Go!
